What I'd do is find some sort of steam cleaner to rent and use that all over the interior surfaces. I'll bet they even have some sort of scented shampoo or rinse that mixes in with the water for that clean fresh scent everyone loves. Better than rancid lunch bag odor I'm guessing. Another thing you can do is buy those scented gel strips for home ventilation systems and either stick one inside your car's AC evaporator vent opening, or just under a seat. I see them at places like Home Depot. Also try burning a bunch of incense in your car. Smoke has a way of neutralizing any other smell. Use good incense, not that cheap tie-dye hippie junk. Most New Age book stores or health food stores have the good stuff. Avoid incense sold at used record stores and places where you can find posters of Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Bob Marley.
