Thanks to my question about what to do with a convertible in the winter. Well I have one in the summer as of yesterday, and an offer of garage space as of today. It is raining at this moment! However I have a bunch of more serious questions. BTW, this is a 91 Turbo automatic. That is my first question. I am used to a NG 900 automatic (94) which has a very smooth transmission. The convt. transmission seems a lot more harsh to me, the transmission is not noisy but grabs especially from first to second. The whle experience is very different from the NG 900. That is where the NG 900 shifts up when coasting, this won't and it will take until 45 to shift into top. I am going to flush the fluid; what should I be looking for?
2. Power steering. Once yesterday and once today the power went off at low speeds and made a whirring sound. I am going to flush the fluid. Again what should I be looking for--could it be a belt? Or worse.
3. Anyone got any window advice about the windows on the driver's side not sitting right. They go up and down OK but rattle. The front one doesn't sit right on the rear rubber but rattles against the metal. It is the rear quarter that is the problem though. Sounds like a major job. Any ideas on jerry rigging; except keeping windows down!
4. Central locking? Not always operational. I'd be happy to disengage it completely. How would I do that? The reason is that the trunk lock won't always turn (simple moev is not to lock it!)

Hey, I am not complaing. It is a gas to drive and I could afford it because its old!

Thanks in Advance.
Nigel
