Kooch dropped a 900T engine into his 1990 900S. Complete 900T engine swap.

Eric H, co-owner of Viking SAAB (Damascus, MD), turbocharged his 1986 900S notchback, running 6 psi of boost daily on the formerly naturally aspirated motor. That's without the APC system. His website, which hasn't been updated for at least a year, says his best 1/4 mile time was 15.3sec @ 94mph. The process is long, but simple enough if you have access to all the 900T parts.

Both of these guys know their stuff! They're both really friendly and full of information they're willing to share.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!
