I'm partial to the factory gray color, but whatever lights your fire is OK. The amount of work is about the same either way. I've got a post up above w/ some info on sources of fabric and the FAQ may have some info too.
Use 3M Super Strength Spray Trim adhesive (I think that's the correct name) so the stuff won't come down around your ears again. Then again, if you use some wild and crazy fabric, you may not want to make it too permanent.
