With a car of this age and mileage, you can expect a steady stream of minor repairs. Rear noise could be a loose muffler, rear control rod bushings, rear panhard rod bushings, or shock bushings. Nothing major. Saab hydraulic clutches tend to engage near the top. They are essentially self-adjusting, but eventually the disk will wear to the point that it disengages/slips even with the pedal out. Saab clutches are fairly easy for the diy'er, because the trans and engine stay put when you pull the clutch. It's about a $500 job($200 parts).
Other things to expect in the next 50k miles include steering rack and headgasket, unless they have already been replaced. Oh yeah, the headliner will begin to sag if parked in the sun. If you're willing to accept these items as maintenance, then you'll have a good utility car.
