I plan to keep my 88 turbo hatch for a long time as well. I keep upgrading, when stuff needs to be replaced. So far I've put on it: bigger batt and when this one goes bad I will put the biggest Optima Gel batt I can get in the trunk to make room for a larger exhaust system someday. Put I Saab 9000 alternator for faster charging. Put on really nice 17x7.5 rims from Ronal. $3200.00 car stereo. Koni shocks. Heavy load springs. K&N. Hood scoop for air intake(I havn't had time to get the tubing hooked up yet) When the engine dies I will have 91-93,'94 for conv 185 hp engine put in. I'm going to get a good used one to save some money with the tranny, pinion bearing, all the turbo and exhaust manifold and pipe.(It will be nice to then have auto choke and a lot more power after APC tweeks) I'm really enjoying creating a unique car that has a lot of personality and is fun to drive(I get a lot of curious looks from people. It's fun to have a car different from the others out there). The versatility of the hatch is awsome. I have a Yakima roof rack which I bolt a pallet to and then can haul all kind of stuff like a truck can. I have heavy load springs in back now and on our last camping trip I had no rubbing now from those wider rims.

I only wave to the classic Saabers. Do you think that's unfare. I would help all Saabers though.

Best, KB88900T
