89 900T oil light

Yikes!
On my '89 900T my oil light will come on briefly. There is full oil in the dipstick and the contacts to the oil light were cleaned. It still happens. However if I touch the connector or wiring with my hand the light does not reappear for several hours of driving. It only appears in stop and go traffic. If it flickers once it will come on more frequent and longer until I touch the wiring, I do not have an oil pressure gauge in the car. Is it the oil pump or perhaps a bad connection. Sometimes the light will come on or flicker on deceleration and I can here the engine rev up around if the tach drops around or below idle speed and I'm afraid the engine is not getting enough oil. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or explainations on touching the wiring and making it go away temporarily? I would appreaciate any comments as my Saab mechanic is away until next week.
Thanks Sam
