it could destroy your engine

that little stretch of hose is keeping your motor from cr@pping itself when detonation hits hard: when knock sensor hears it (it is sometimes inaudible), it dials 911 to your APC. APC, in turn, puts the call in to your APC solenoid, which sends pressure to wastegate to drop boost via that middle hose. it does this until the knock sensor stops calling your APC.
u r basically disconnecting the system that protects your engine from terminal damage. if you've got tons of detonation & nothing to stop it, you'll cook your pistons.
there are safe ways to get more power; visit the performance board, search "tweak", read everything. also see the FAQ page & learn how to adjust the wastegate properly.
