I usually do the oil change at the dealership, but i bought my 88 SAAB 900 at 136000 miles. And repairing cost can be quite high.
So, I have been doing some small stuffs like replacing air filters. fixing my headliner, fixing seats, replacing light housing.
I went to Midas recently thinking about replacing my alternator.
SAAB mechanic told me once about my bad alternator. Told me I should replace it soon. But, I have been using it ok.
When I went to Midas, they told me my voltage level is going up and down or something. and thesaabsite.com Part Store. I remember reading something about voltage regulator failure. It sounded right to me, so before I actually replacing the whole alternator, I wanted to try a cheaper solution.
And on the Bentley Service Manual, it seemed easy. That's why i decided to give it a try.
Anyway, thanks for your advice.
