i had been putting this project off for too long, i guess (i have two new CV's at my house!), but the CV finally sheared in half , so the axle was not connected to the hub. scary, to say the least. i want to know if the tranny itself could have gotten messed up, because the car was making some terrible noises, which very well could have been the axle spinning loosly against the lower control arm? i just hope i didn't ruin my perfect tranny. please answer this question, as i have to start the project soon, and would like to know what i'm getting into. thanks.
