in their cooling systems?
Not having any distilled water on hand (kid used it to top off the aquarium) I quickly and resourcefully used the couple gallons in the dehumidifier (which needed emptying..have to run a tube to the floor drain one of these days...).

Now I read that (newsletter from the Pittsburgh Civic Garden Center, aluminum content in dehumidifier water is toxic to plants) there's aluminum in this stuff. Yeah, the evaporator tubes in the dehumidifier are aluminum, but I wonder if there's a significant amount in the water given the little amount of time the vapor sits on the tubes before dropping as water...
