Cooling System Overheating? AC/Rad Fan Issue? (long)

I have an '85 900 Turbo that I think is running a little too hot. On a 93 deg. day when not driving particularly hard, however during city driving (stoping every couple blocks for lights) the temp gauge reads about 6mm below the red line. Is this too hot? I have removed the AC compressor, and heat exchanger (device that sat in front of the radiator), and both fuses are good for both fans. Also when connecting the two wires from the temp switch on the driver's side of the radiator the rad fan runs. When trying to jump pin 87 and 30 on the AC relay (with relay removed) the radiator fan runs continuosly (with key on or off). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to keep her running cooler? (by the way, I also just did a system flush, coolant came out clean w/o any debris) Thanks in advance for reading, and any suggetions!
