It could be a bad motor mount that transmits the vibration. I had the same thing going on with my '89.
After I changed my clutch and pilot bearing (which I couldn't turn by hand), that vibration that you describe almost completely went away.
I think that 2 things were going on to cause the vibration - the old clutch plate (which had just worn down to one of the rivets) was unbalanced and the center hole of the pilot bearing was slightly enlarged, allowing the primary shaft to go a bit off center.
My feet don't tingle anymore. After I put new motor mounts on, I expect that it'll be better yet.
