I would suggest getting a Bentley Publishing Co. SAAB 16V 900 manual. It really helps!

Short of that (or taking it to a mechanic) I think I could scan some of the pages--I invested in a Bentley 16V book for my Mom's '90--and email them to you. But I won't be near a computer until Monday after about now.

I don't know any emergency fix for a bad FPR; the car probably isn't driveable in that condition, unless... You could somehow plug that vacuum hose you removed from the FPR on the FPR end of it, say with a golf tee (to keep extra air from sneaking into engine unmetered). Then, get a rubber cap of some sort that will fit over the vacuum hose connecton on the FPR--like the type sold at auto parts stores to block off vacuum passages. This could present a fire hazard if not kept on tightly, because that fuel is under pressure!

IMPORTANT: SECURE THE RUBBER CAP TO FPR WITH A SMALL SCREW/WORM CLAMP TO PREVENT FUEL FROM ESCAPING!!!

Again, this may let fuel leak out onto hot engine parts and fire may ensue. So, if you can, have the car towed to a shop or work on it in it's present location yourself (if the neighborhood is safe!).

You'll want to relieve any pressure in the fuel system before you change the FPR (that's probably already occurred, due to leaky FPR, but relieve pressure anyway as a precaution). Do that by pulling fuse for fuel pump (#30 in main fusebox on a 1990 900, yours should be same, though) and then crank the car for several seconds. This fires fuel injectors but doesn't supply fuel to them since fuel pump has no power, effectively purging fuel pressure from the system).
