My car has been having a bad couple weeks. I had it strand me for the first time ever 50 miles out of the way of viable tools when I went camping a couple weeks ago. After replacing plugs and determining that all the spark was good, it was narrowed down to the fuel pump relay. Of course, only after new plugs and then a tow.
Since then, I have had my clutch master cylinder go out. Not but a day or two later, of course. Now, it pretty much has an entirely new clutch system.
The new and more irritating issue is that it will not start after it has been run for a while. It turns over, but refuses to start. After repeatedly trying, frequently an odor of gasoline will enter the cabin. As such, I would imagine it is running rich. If I let it sit overnight without driving it, usually it will start at worst on the second try. I usually resort to push starting. I had my car die at a busy intersection because I think there might be some air in the clutch, need to bleed again. It sucked. I finally managed to roll back into the curb lane 50 feet back and got it push started. .. not a good month for my car ..
What are the possible things that this could be? How can I track down the cause of the problem? I am about 500 miles from home and have been conducting repairs at friends houses. This is not something I can ignore being so far from home.
Thanks,
White Vampire\Rem
