My battery went dead last night (sticky brake switch) and the radio wanted the code. I, unfortunately, entered the wrong code first time and now all the radio does is beep at me with the code I entered on the display.

I read previous posts regarding this and it was stated that you have to wait an hour to try again. Others say you have to press the band button.
It is a 92 saab conv and the radio also has the cd unit connected to it.

I have two questions.
1. Does the car have to be running for an hour, with the radio beeping, for the radio to reset?
2. How long do I have tp press the band button for?
