You use a an ohmmeter to set the baseline resistance of the AMM to 380 ohms, measuring between pins 3 and 6.
Then you need to adjust the AMM. Use a digital voltmeter to monitor the O2 sensor voltage, connect it between the O2 signal wire and ground. When correctly set the voltage should fluctuate equally above and below .5 volt.
I assume you could actually use any high-impedance voltmeter such as a VTVM, in fact it would probably be easier to see the correct setting on a real meter rather than a digital display. But you can't load down the signal from the sensor, so don't use a cheapo electro-mechanical multimeter.
