and maybe nose uphill slightly? My first Saab rescue was a 3-door with slightly loose fit on rear side window. Water ran down the roof gutter, dropped down to the edge of the rear side window and ran right in. I bought it with 6" of water in the rear seat footwell, the injection computer box under the rear seat was under water [ '84 ] and the car wouldn't run. Push on the side window at the rear at the latch and see if it moves in and out enough to allow leak. To check for sure cut some narrow strips of paper and close them in the gasket - do they pull out easily or fall down ? It is easy to remedy this by pulling the latch base off - three srews - and add flat washers under the front two. This will pull the window in tighter on the gasket. Doesn't show when you are done.
