I did it a couple months ago and needed a 22mm wrench. It is tight but you can get it. There was a picture of the bolts in the Bentley. I took out the big 22mm bolt but I was told the smaller bolt under it can come out instead of the big bolt. I would do the 22mm since it is more to grab onto. Getting the block plug out will let you really flush the system whem you put the garden hose on the cooling system for a good clean out. The location of the bolts is under the exhaust mani reaching towards the firewall. This and the radiator drain will give you a complete drain.
If you can't get the block bolt off I wouldn't worry about it.
