for new front fenders. And $500 into AM/FM/CD head unit and CD changer after that. And $2-300 here and there on CV joint boot and one front wheel bearing and maybe $300 on front calipers/rotors/pads. But it's got 45K on a rebuilt engine/transmission and runs better than new. And I've got a complete set of snow tires and 84 900T rims so I just change wheels in the winter!

It's Grandma's car when I don't need it for work or the family pickup truck and it's still probably less expensive than a newer pickup truck or anything else that I'd have to put $1500-2000 into to bring up to a good standard.

After all, why do you think people sell cars...because they would have to put money into keeping them.

I'm just about getting used to the idea that if the car is significantly damaged it gets totalled and becomes a parts car...except the parts won't fit for the most part on my dream 94 900T 5 speed commemorative edition convertible.
