I've switched out this part 2 time. the first time I did not know about this BB Or have a Bentley Manual. If you do a search of the BB you will find more info. I would get another igniton switch from a sponsor. A tool to undo the 3 star nuts would be nice, you can grind down a socket or buy one.
You can get to the back one with a punch or screw driver the front 2 are resessed in the shifter housing. I've trimmed it down with the cutoff wheel on my dremnal Tool. (Be sure to mark where the housing is mounted to the car so you can bolt it down in the same position)
Then you can just use a punch to undo and tighten. This tool is on my list to get. So if your up to the first part then go for it. FIRST undo the positive battery cable, and take out drivers seat.
Second take off the plastic cover, over the shifter. Mark shifter undo the star nuts. Loosen the spring assmbly in front of shifter. Then you can turn the shifter on its side and take it apart (watch how it all comes apart so you can get it back together) and switch out the switch. clean up and regrease the plastic sifter parts while your in there.
I hope that helps
Ron
