Windshield Wipers - Phantom Sweep

I have a 1990 900 that I've been working on for the last 8 months. Just when I think all is OK something new hits me. I'm driving along and for no reason the windshield wipers make one full sweep. The other day I blew the horn at a friend and yes you guessed it one full sweep. I hang around this board quite a bit and have read how it could be the switch so I changed it, no help. I also read where the headlight wiper motors can cause electrical backfeed to the windshield wiper motor when bad, but I don't have headlight wipers. Today it got worse and now I'm getting one to four full sweeps. I'm guessing that it probably has something to do with the park switch in the wiper motor but before I tackle that I wanted to throw it out to you guys for suggestions. Has any body else had this problem?
