MS,
Glad to hear you snagged it.
I ejected that stupid valve from my car several years ago due to a vacuum
leak. I recently discovered that I have a vacuum/boost leak where the throttle shaft intersects the throttle body. I picked up a spare throttle body and I'm trying to track down some shaft seals for it. The other vacuum leak I have is where the vacuum boost thingy meets with the master cylinder.
Nasty vacuum leaks I've discovered since owning it
- check valve on the vacuum canister
- Charcoal canister checkvalve
- AC solenoid valve
- throttle shaft seals
- seal between vacuum booster and master cylinder
- The aluminum tubes from the turbo. They did a really poor job grinding
the excess casing flashing from the tubes, preventing a good seal.
- The hose clamps on the tubing that goes from the throttle body to the
aux. air valve need to be re-tightened every month or so.
