2nd gear grind resolved

I had posted previously regarding a 2nd gear grind. If you did not let the rpms fall before shifting into 2nd, it would grind. I was guessing synchro going out.. eventual transmission rebuild.
This weekend I made a point to finally change the transmission oil, as I had not done it before and had no idea when the previous owner had last. I put about 2 and 1/2 quarts of Castrol 10W30 and about a half quart of slick50 in.
After the oil change, I can slam it into second and not have it talk back. It is surprising, but I am not going to complain. Just posting for the benefit of others.
Regards,
White Vampire\Rem
