Peter,
Does the fuse blow on all speeds?
Someone (on this board) once said you could see if the motor is drawing too much current on its "4th" speed and causing fuse to blow like so:
Preface: You know that going from the 6 o'clock (OFF) position to the small < > symbol at 8 o'clock (where fan speed are adjustable), you must pass the 7 o'clock position (the "4th" speed or where current to fan goes straight to fan motor, not through the resistor pack which gives 1-2-3 speeds).
That said, with ignition off, turn air selector knob to small <> position, and fan speed knob to "1." THEN, turn the ignition on. That is a test, but I've forgotten exactly what it determines! I thought it might help, though.
But it does sound like your motor is shot, but there are more possibilities. But if it is the motor, you'll have to pull the dash, alas. Townsend Imports has good directions on diagnosis and how-to, which I'll link below.
Good luck!
