From your description I can only guess that the plastic fitting onto which the large rubber hose connects broke where it makes a bend. That might be a tricky place to effect a mend with JB Weld, but doable just the same. The first thing is to remove any and all oil (with solvent) on all sides and from both parts of that fitting. Then use a plastic glue to stick the two pieces together. After that stiffens, then you apply JB Weld all around the fitting as reinforcement. I'd apply a few layers to be sure. So long as there's enough of the end to slip the hose over and clamp it in place, you'll be fine. You might consider finding a replacement fitting in a junk yard.
