Clutch pedal suddenly low

Monday morning I noticed that overnight the clutch pedal had started to bite at the very bottom of its travel, instead of a little way up. The whole clucth (friction/pressure nad bearing) was replaced last December and the fluid all replaced and whole brake/clutch system bled. The reservoir is still full and flexi hoses are not leaking or ballooning during operation. The clutch action now is how it felt before I replaced the clutch. I can't believe I have worn out the friction plate in 8K miles
I can still engage gears and the clutch works, but I am jsut wondering why this has happened all of a sudden and maybe it is the car telling me of impending slave or master cylinder death.
Anybody got any ideas? BTW car is right hand drive, so clutch clevis pin fix doesn't apply, apparently.
TIA
