Shouldn't new Oxygen Sensor cure "Check Engine"?

Hi. My 91 900 (normally aspirated) suddenly developed a "Check Engine" light conditon and started to run very poorly, stalling and such. I pulled the codes from the computer and they are:
12231 No RPM (expected)
12111 Incorrect Air/Fuel; check Oxygen Sensor
12221 No signal from Air Mass Meter; system in 'limp home' mode
12224 Air/Fuel mixture too rich
So I replaced the oxygen sensor, and still the check engine light comes on after a few minutes and just as the light comes on the car starts bucking and stalling. Sometimes the light goes back off, but then comes on again shortly thereafter. Should I be looking at something like the Air Mass meter. Or perhaps do I need to clear all the fault codes out of the computer to get the car to run right again after putting in a new Oxygen Sensor? Thanks for any help. Bob
