high fuel pressure and CE light

Fuel pressure limits? LH 2.4, 1990 900S (16V non-Turbo)
I’m getting check engine fault codes relating to incorrect a/f ratio at idle and driving, (12111, 12112 these are from memory, so I could have them wrong.
O2 sensor is new, with fluctuating voltage, 0.1 to 0.75V, and I have checked and replaced vac hoses and PCV hoses, and don’t think that I have a vac leak. Car runs and idles well (at least since the O2 sensor replacement)
Fuel pressure is higher than spec, measuring 50 psi with vac disconnected and 39 psi connected. Spec per Bentley is 44 +/- 0.7 psi.
Question: Is the extra fuel pressure enough to explain the fault codes, or is it within the range of ECU adaptation? I’m thinking that the AMM would be the next most likely culprit.
Car failed MA emissions with high CO (this was with bad O2 sensor), and I'm trying to debug.
Thanks
