Oh, darn. Another opinion.
It's probably OK for now. But I'd keep an eye on it. If it gets to the point that it glows faintly a lot of the time, that means that you need to replace the brushes on the voltage regulator (or the whole regulator - it comes with the brushes). These are spring-loaded carbon pieces that conduct electricity from the turning part of the alternator to the electrical system. They get worn down and don't make good contact after 150k miles or so.
