Todd,
if vibration is only during braking, I would suspect the rotors, but hear me out.... Suspect "inner drivers" if vibration is during take-off/hard acceleration. CV joints usually pop and crackle in medium to tight turns when they are run dry (of grease)/worn out.
Did you replace ALL rotors? If so, have them all checked for "runout," or the amount of warpage. Simply getting the rotors "turned" on a brake lathe may alleviate your shaking, since the rotors are so new. You should probably be OK to have "turning" done, as rotors need replacment only when they have worn so much that they are less than the minimum allowable thickness or when "turning" them would make them drop below that thickness, too. [Well, there may be others causes for replacing the rotors (like a rotor being too warped for turning to do any good), so I guess I shouldn't make sweeping, all inclusive statements, seeing as how I'm a shadetree mechanic!]
If you HAVEN'T replaced ALL the rotors recently, suspect the ones which aren't replaced, but it could be any of them. One technique I used to diagnose which end of my 900 had vibration when braking was to use the emergency brake, not the footbrake--not trying to cause wheel lock-up, mind you!
The emergency brake controls the front wheel brakes on 1979-1987 900 cars, and controls the rear brakes from 1988-on, like your '90 900 & '94 900TC. So, when at highway speed, pull up on your emergency brake handle--not enough to cause brake lock-up--and see if you experience the vibration. If so, it's in either the left- or right-rear brakes, or both rear brakes (but don't rule out the fronts, alas, but this at least gives you a starting point). If no vibration when applying only e-brakes, then suspect the front brakes.
Hope this helps!
