'86 900S went metal to metal on right side, front. Outer pad only, inner pad had 7-8mm left on it. Got new pads and new rotor. Cleaned and lubed mounting bolts with anti-sieze.
Turned piston 1/4 turn clockwise, couldn't move, turn counter clockwise, once again couldn't move. I can't get enough room to put everything together. Turned it 1/4 turn and tried to compress, no luck. Repeat, repeat, etc. It appears the piston should compress but I'm not having any luck. The piston moves back and forth on the yoke, problem seems to be that the piston does not compress.
Do I put in one pad, then pry the yoke against the rotor? Are stuck pistons typical? Car has 195 K miles.
Saabmaster site is down, can't look up there....Thanks for the help!
