despite what others state, 7 in wide wheels will fit if you have the proper offset. I use 18x7 wheels for the street & track with excellent results. My street set uses 225-35-18 while my track set uses 225-40-18 (no race tire in 35 series) & I did have rubbing with this setup. However removing the wheel trim arches & doing the axel relocation solved that problem :o)
Anything wider then 7 I would stay away from even though some have had luck with that size
