RS! Check this out. When i was telling you before about getting no continuity at pins 13 and 17 of the wiring harness for the computer, assuming the wiring has not been messed with, i get no reading. I test the ohms at the terminals of the cooland temp sensor after the motor has heated up enough to start loaping and get somthing around 9300 ohms. The motor is hot to the touch, i'll guess at least 120 degrees f which puts this reading way out of spec. Bentley has it spected at between 1700 and 350 at this temp. Once i disconnect the coolant sensor the motor runs well but seems to be rich in the mixture. the bad loaping goes away though. My biggest question now is why would i get such a drastic change in the running condition out of a circut that is dead at the computer wiring harness? or do i have that wrong? does the computer need to plugged in to the harness for me to get the same reading i did at the coolant sensor.
getting closer
