I believe, the caliper mounting bracket is different so you'll most likely have to have an adapter machined, if keeping the pre-87 spindle.
Also, you'll have a 3mm difference in rotor thickness, that's really not small. It would be best to have the 88+ rotors redrilled or have a blank set drilled
With all that said, it sounds like there would be quite some work involved. You might be better off having a custom jobby, decent AP calipers and some custom rotors. Here's a contact to someone that has done custom brake jobbies on older saabs, he should be able to direct you to a good setup (custom machined rotor hats, cheaper rotors, custom machined caliper adapters and decent calipers):
