Not necessarily, but probably. The problem with the LH 2.4.2 in your car is that when you unplug the AMM the car will go into Limp Home mode. It forces the idle, forces the mixture, and a whole bunch of other operating parameters without checking its various sensors for feedback or input. It's worth swapping with a known good one to be sure, but unless you have other reasons to suspect the AMM, I wouldn't count on it 100% as the source.
