Thank you for responding!!! Here we go... It feels like the car is running on 3 cylinders. It does idle. (roughly though). "Limp mode" is a term I got from the book. Not much acceleration, doesn't die out at stop sign. Just feels and sounds terrible. I disconnected each injector one at a time while the engine is running. I notice a difference each time(Ran worse). I've checked for loose connections - hoses, wires etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. I'll try the visual check of the AMM (the wire glowing). Would the 02 sensor cause the Engine light to come on if it is faulty? I'll also check inside the distributor cap like you suggested. Would a damaged or faulty cap case the light to come on? The car has 230,000 miles on it. I've had an assortment of work done over the years (bought it with 60,000 miles) but this is the first time the Check engine light has ever come on and given these symptoms. Maybe I was just due for some excitement...
I hope you have a few more ideas for me. Thanks in advance....
