Knock Sensor/LH Question... Posted by JustinHiFi [Email] (#829) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JustinHiFi) on Fri, 11 Oct 2002 00:00:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have been trying to diagnose a kick down of power when driving, mainly when engine is warming, but is not always the case. When shifting, and applying more throttle, the engine seems to bog, loosing all power (not stalling) but then all of a sudden power's back in a split second.
Sometimes when driving, the CEL will go on, and stay lit above 1200 rpm, and blink below 1200 4 times which should indicate a knock sensor problem, but i recieve no power loss at all at the time of illumination. Only afterward will i get a somewhat collective loss of power throughout the entire rpm band.
I just did cap, rotor, and plugs again. Replaced AMM with rebuilt one from sobstory, and replaced coolant temp sensor (which did fix inital startup cold idle problems)..but the power loss is still evident.
I have check TPS, and it seems a-ok. O2 sensor is functioning great. and I am getting great milage (29cty 34hwy)
I just confirmed order of new knock sensor...what do you think?
Thanks all...
