Hello,
I have an '86 Trubo SPG. in first gear the car pulls hard, but in second and third especially, it sputters and doesn't pull strong at all anywhere above about 3500 RPM. The car jerks and it climbs rpm's slower than it should even with the pedal to the floor. I have just replaced the fuel filter and the spark plugs, and it hasn't changed. Around when this first started, I replaced some of the wiring on the hall connector to the distributor. origianlly, the wiring was shielded by a braided type ground wire surounding the two inner wires, and the whole bundle was then insulated with some stringy substance and a rubber cover. I replaced a foot long section or so that was corroded with 3 seperate insulated wires. One for ground, 2 for something else. Would i be running into problmes without a shielded wire going to the hall connector? if thats not the problem, what could it be? I'd prefer to troubleshoot this myself, because the people at my dealership don't know enough about classic 900s.
Thanks very much,
-Rob Marsh
