It was NOT the O2 sensor. That is just one of the things a 'trained' tech will notice that is not right. It cannot make it not run. I bet he did not even check to see if it operated properly. Maybe not even clued in to HOW to check it. I have seen one '86 16V NA car with the cable stripped off completely. The PO replaced the inner boots and replaced the hose clamp and left the end long, It grabbed the wires and stripped them from the connector!. Car ran, but not that great due to other problems. I checked the output of the sensor after they soldered a 'new-used' pigtail from a JY car and it was within spec. This was after being run for who knows how long with no power and not connected to the FI system. Faggedaboutit. Have him look here if you want. I have used nothing but '91 Ford Mustang 5.0L automatic' Bosch sensors and all work lovely. You have to have a good connection, though. Flux is VERY helpful to feed a little bit of solder in the crimp for safe keeping. THe wires seem a bit resistant to regular rosin core solder and need a little help.
