Stange cooling system question. Posted by MarcD [Email] (#835) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MarcD) on Fri, 18 Oct 2002 07:52:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Yesterday while driving home from work, about 10 minutes into the drive, the air from the heater turn cool and the temp gauge started to rise. After pulling over I open the hood expecting to find a massive coolant leak. Though the reservoir was empty, no leak could be found. The coolant hoses where hard indicating a pressure build up that isn’t normal on this 900. I slowly opened the reservoir cap and the coolant boiled back into the reservoir bringing it up to the proper level. Got back into the car and all returned to mormal for the next 10 minutes and then the process repeated itself. This happened two more times last night and I’m guessing it might be the pressure cap. I'm a bit nervous about driving the car because I don't want the added cooling system pressure to cause any additional problems! Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance
