I was going to get my '88 manual tranny rebuilt

with the larger pinion from Swedish Dynamics. I know the pinion was stronger on the later cars than my '88 Were the gears also stronger? I could just dump the '88 tranny for a later one and get that rebuilt. I guess I was trying to save some money. I could get the larger pinion from Swedish Dynamics which said that this pinion is stronger then the '90-'93 900. Then I would just get the rest rebuilt on the '88 shaft. If I wanted stronger gears I would need the bigger shaft for the '88 tranny and then I couldn't get the extra large pinion from Swedish Dynamics from what I read on their website. The wreck yard that I'm probally getting the '92 engine from doesn't have the tranny for it hence I thought it might be good to use the '88 but I thought I've heard that my '88 tranny case will not bolt properly to the '92 block. If that's the case I could use the '88 upgraded tranny with a '92 tranny case that will bolt correctly or I could search for a complete '92 tranny for rebuild which would have a weaker pinion than the Swedish Dynamics upgrade.
Any suggestions? I was just trying to save some $$$$$.
Thanks, KB.
