If you have a Bentley, check out the fuel pump section. There is a picture of a special tool that presses the end piece on the very hard plastic fuel line. You may be able to fabricate one out of channel lock pliers.
I messed up my fuel line at the fuel pump & had to replace the line between the fuel pump & filter. Thankfully, I found one at the junk yard.
