Hello, I was stopped at a light, and the car suddenly stalled, and when I tried to restart it, the engine just kept turning over, but it wouldn't catch. after a couple of minutes of trying, I ran over to a store to call a buddy to help me push it. When I came back to the car, It started up first try and then stalled a few seconds later. I tried it again, and it started up, as as long as I could keep the RPMs up, it wouldn't stall. I limped it home, where it stalled again on the driveway (and that is where she sits) I'm thinking it's the feul pump. For the past month I have been noticing an intermitant buzzing humming noise coming from somewhere around the rear seat. Was that the noise of a pump on it's way out? Does that sound like the symptoms of a feul pump on it's death bed? If not, what could it be? Is a fuel pump replacement a job that can be done by myself without any special tools? I need to get this done relativly soon, I need my car! (I still need to do some reading in the Bentley)
Thanks very much for reading,
I really appreciate any replies.
