Here is my setup for the gauges. I used the bracket from an Audi 4000 and cut it to perfectly fit a DIN opening. I mounted my gauges where I they are easiest to read...at the DIN opening that normal houses the stereo. I moved the stereo to the DIN opening in the console AND I mounted the EQ immediately below the stereo; this required cutting a little bit of plastic. The space in the console below the stereo/EQ. I find this setup comfortable to work with. For added convenience I attached to the outside surface of the ash-tray on the dash is a suction mounted cell phone holder with a hard-wired car-charger. To finish things off I mounted a thin cup-holder in the lower console. I also created storage space in the console immediately below the audio components.
