at least it does with the extra cold start injector connected up.. my car is a UK none cat version.. no fancy emission controls just basic CIS.. the extra injector seems to cause the car to flood sometimes when left standing for say two or three hours.. ie "not quite cold".. unlike with a carb equiped engine.. no amount of cranking with wide open throttle clears it.. i am now running with this thing disconnected.. my symptoms are a quick engine cough.. then nothing.. the only cure is to pull the fuel pump relay.. remove the plugs and crank it over till all extra fuel is gone.. not exactly something u wish to do often.. he he.. strangely enough the extra fuel thing does seem to do what its supposed to when removed and checked..
the thing that stands out.. is that once flooded these engines really dont want to go.. carb rules dont seem to apply.. flooring the throttle and simply cranking the engine over till the excess fuel is gone does not seem to work.. we dont have many super-duper sub zero tempts over here and so far the car starts instantly cold or hot without this thing connected.. ????..
