I played this same game. You have the old style, smaller surface area clutch. That is, 1989 and older. Your most cost effective option is a Kevlar clutch from Swedish Dynamics (no affiliation). After I tweaked the apc and added the rrfpr on my 1990 ragtop, my clutch slipped with exactly the symptoms you describe. Replaced with old style clutch (mine was an early 1990) genuine Saab, same story. The Kevlar clutch bolted right in with no need to source the later flywheel and has been fantastic since. I wish this information was common knowledge before, obviously many people have made the same mistake. The last word, ALL 1989 AND OLDER TURBO'S NEED THE KEVLAR CLUTCH IF YOU HAVE TWEAKED THE ENGINE ABOVE FACTORY SPECS.
Good luck
