Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out what these 2 wires are (zip-tied together) in the driver's side of my trunk (US model). One is red, the other, green--if I'm not mistaken. They end in female "bullet" connectors, like the fog light factory wires which are now in use under the hood. They dangle in the trunk floor pan, and are NOT speaker wires because all four of my speakers are already connected. Ideas?
My question is, are those 2 wires for rear fog lights, required perhaps in some European countries? Or are they for a power antenna option?
I already upgraded my S with these '84 Turbo-options:
1) interior light time delay relay
2) fog lights (Bosch, using factory relay, wiring, and dash switch socket)
Call me silly, but a power antenna (which disappears from vandals) would be a very nice addition to the short list above.
(It was many years before I realized just where those dormant wires were hidden for the fog lights, by the way. I had always puzzled over the fact that my owner's manual said my car was "pre-wired for fog lights.")
Thanks in advance,
Micah in NC
