For a time I mounted one inside the unit, creating a wire harness with tape and two thin guage wires, then slipping that between the rubber coupling and tightening down. It worked. But my next step is to drill an appropriate sized hole in the plastic IC port and thread the thermo coupling in the hole, sealing with an epoxy. The trick of course is to apply a ground to the therm body while embedded in plastic. So I thought of some sort of soldered wire/washer/thin nut combination.
