I ended up re-wiring my engine compartment harness, as most of the wires near the header were either entirely stripped or broken. I haven't touched the harness where it goes through the center of the interior, as it looked to be in decent shape from a superficial glance.
One thing I did discover after cutting up the header, is that it will snap out from the bottom allowing the rubber female connectors to be removed. I cut them further down, stripped them, and used a two-ended female connector to join to the original wire. I then used electrical tape over it all. Separate, then together.
Hopefully this makes some sort of sense. A horrid job, really a curse of SAABs. (Mainly '85s, so I hear. But I only have experience with '85s, so.. :)
Regards,
White Vampire\Rem
